* Follow hand sanitizing, PPE and Universal Precautions guidelines.
*Housekeeping Duties:* * Follows cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly, etc.

* Cleans assigned areas, furnishings, and fixtures according to established housekeeping procedures.
* Cleans floors: Dry mops, wet mops, sweeps, waxes, buffs, vacuums, & disinfects where and when necessary.
Performs emergency housekeeping where accidents occur.
* Cleans movable and stationary furnishings and fixtures: Dusts, spot cleans or washes, & disinfects when necessary, polishes where required.
This includes the cleaning of ledges, shelves, vents, etc.
Straightens or rearranges furniture as directed.
* Removes and disposes of waste and trash when necessary.
Cleans, sanitizes, and relines wastebaskets.
* Inspects furnishings for wear and defects and reports to supervisor.
* Cleans bathroom (resident & public): Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, and walls as directed.
Washes windows and mirrors.
Replenishes bathroom supplies.
* Cleans walls, windows, doors, and ceilings: Spot cleans between washings, washes, disinfects when necessary.
Walls, ceilings, and ceiling fixtures are cleaned as scheduled.
* Cleans entrances and exits: Cleans as directed above for floors and walls.
* Cleans all horizontal surfaces daily or as required, removing dust, dirt, or greasy film, using disinfectants where necessary.
* Performs terminal cleaning according to established procedure (see nursing procedure manual) in resident rooms when a resident has been discharged or transferred, and prepares room for new occupant.
* Cleans isolation units according to established procedure (see nursing procedure manual) when a resident is transferred.
* Removes for cleaning and re-hangs curtains, drapes, and dividers.
* Sends soiled linens to laundry.
* Reports observations concerning structural and equipment wear, defects, and malfunctioning to supervisor.
* Reports supply and equipment needs as soon as possible to supervisor for replenishing.
* Maintains equipment used in performing duties.
* Relieves laundress as scheduled or on a PRN basis.
Other duties as assigned.
*Resident Care Related:* * Report promptly to Social Services and the all complaints or grievances stated by Residents or Resident family members.
* Report all resident behavior changes/problems to nurse supervisor, DON, and/or Social Services.
* Maintain Resident confidentiality.
* Treat Resident’s with kindness, dignity and respect.
* Know and comply with Residents’ Rights rules.
*Safety Functions:* * Promptly report accidents, incidents, unsafe and hazardous conditions and equipment.
* Ensure that established safety rules and regulations are followed at all times.
* Keep assigned work area neat and clean.
