Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Financial Aid Officer.
The successful candidate is responsible for providing financial aid application counseling to students and parents, as well as assisting in the administration of the financial aid program.
This individual will make decisions to award funds to students eligible for scholarships, grants and college work study.
Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full-time (40 hours a week) position.
Summary of Duties:
Award Federal, State and Institutional funds in accordance with approved policies
Certification of all financial aid applications (loans, grants, etc.
)
Assist in processing the Alabama Student Grants
Counsel students and prospective students on all Financial Aid programs including loans, grants and scholarships
Assist students in the completion of their financial aid file
Represent the University and the Financial Aid Office at meetings assigned by the Director
Assist with the various registrations, both on and off campus, as necessary
Assist in preparation of the various cost of attendance budgets
Assist with periodic training sessions for extension center personnel
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
Experience in PowerFAIDS software helpful
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Google applications
Active member of the church of Christ
