Posting Details Position Information Vacancy Number: F-00373 Position Title: Assistant Professor, Industrial Organizational Psychology Classification Title: Faculty Department: Psychology Employment Type: Full-Time Special Instructions to Applicant: The Department of Psychology at Auburn University at Montgomery invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning August 2024.
We seek candidates who will contribute to both our scientifically oriented undergraduate program and to the Industrial-Organizational track of our Master of Science in Psychology program (https://www.
aum.
edu/degree/io-psychology/).
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.
D.
in Industrial Organizational Psychology.
Candidates with doctorates in Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, or another related discipline may be considered, but in these cases must also have a Master’s degree in Psychology.
Excellence in teaching and mentoring is required.
Candidates who employ innovative, evidence-based teaching practices are preferred.
Ideal candidates should be able to teach master’s level courses such as Motivation in the Workplace, Advanced Industrial/Organizational Psychology, and Professional Issues in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
Successful candidates will also be expected to teach undergraduate level psychology courses in their areas of expertise, develop and maintain an active research program that allows for student involvement, help grow the asynchronous Master’s track in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and provide service to the department, college, and university.

Located in the state capital, Auburn University at Montgomery enrolls approximately 5,000 undergraduate and graduate students.

The campus is located only a few hours away from Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama.
