*SYNOPSIS* _MRWTC NCCER Welding Instructor:_ This is a full-time salaried position with AIDT.
A person in this position must be able to design, develop, coordinate, and instruct technical welding training classes.
_Training Facility Maintenance Technician:_ Perform periodic and routine maintenance on training facility equipment i.

HVAC, air compressor, etc.
Maintain training facility records.
Perform minor repairs of the buildings plumbing, air, electrical systems, including replacing worn or defective parts such as motors, switches, and fuses.
Position will be housed at the Montgomery Regional Workforce Training Center (MRWTC).
*Duties and Responsibilities:* _MRWTC NCCER Welding Instructor:_ * Coordinate and instruct NCCER Core Curriculum classes and NCCER Welding classes.
* Explain and demonstrate FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, oxyfuel cutting, and SMAW processes.
* Administer online, written, and practical examinations to trainees in numerous/different skill areas.
* Design, develop, and construct training aides for numerous skill areas.
* Evaluate, report, and make recommendations on trainee progress.
* Fill in for other instructors as needed.
* Assist with scheduling, training, and supervising part-time instructors.
* Always follow NCCER guidelines in order to maintain the integrity of the program and confidentiality of the test contents.
* Administer, evaluate, and submit NCCER Performance Profiles accurately and in a timely manner for each module.
* Review NCCER paperwork submitted by part-time instructors to ensure accuracy.
* Monitor, track, and stock fitting/welding supplies, consumables, and PPE to ensure that an adequate/appropriate amount is available to support class size.
* Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment.
* Conduct facility tours for schools, companies, and individuals as needed.
* Attend job/career fairs as needed.
* Prepare and deliver oral and written presentations in areas of expertise.
* Assist other AIDT departments and projects with support or expertise.
* Perform other work-related duties and accept special projects as assigned.
Training Facility Maintenance Technician: * Perform periodic and routine maintenance on training facility and equipment.
* Make all minor repairs and adjustments to keep facility and equipment in working order.
* Coordinate facility repairs with contractors and MPS maintenance personnel when needed.
* Perform inspections of training facility to ensure contractors compliance with contracts and report to MPS maintenance personnel.
* Assist State Property Management with 100% state audit of inventory location.
* Change lights throughout training facility and grounds.
* Identify and resolve/notify training center staff of safety odors such as fire, gas, electrical, etc.
* Repair toilet and water leaks.
* Provide support to staff with electrical and/or mechanical needs as necessary.
* Maintaining of exterior area such as cleanliness of parking lot, winter weather management, * Identify control panel faults and repair issue or coordinate with vendor and Center Manager for repair.
* Conduct weekly safety and environmental inspections of training facility.
* Maintain exterior of facility including parking lot.
* Perform maintenance assessment proctoring as needed.

* Plan daily/weekly work schedule without direct supervision.

*Minimum Education/Work Experience Requirements* Associate degree and minimum of five (5) years industry experience in welding and one year supervisory and/or teaching experience OR high school diploma/GED and a minimum of seven (7) years industry experience in welding and one year supervisory and/or instructor experience.
*Preferred Qualifications:* * Structural Fitting or Ship Fitting Experience * Pipefitting Experience * Certified NCCER Core Curriculum instructor.
* Certified NCCER Maritime Structural Fitter instructor.
* Certified NCCER Welding instructor.
* AWS Certifications (CWI, CWE, CWS) *Required Certifications* Must complete mandatory NCCER Instructor Certification Training Program upon acceptance of employment, if not already certified as an NCCER Instructor.
*Salary and General:* Initial placement will be based on experience and education applicable to the T3M salary schedule, within a range of $60,945 – $87,533.
