The primary responsibility of the Security Supervisor at Jackson Hospital is to ensure the protection of all persons and property connected with the Hospital through his/her actions and the supervision of the Security Officers, Courtesy Van Drivers and Security Attendants.
He/she is to assure that the specific duties and responsibilities of the Security Department are carried out in a timely and professional manner.

Experience:
One year as a Security Officer in a healthcare facility or prior law enforcement experience or military service; supervisory experience preferred.
Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations:
Valid Alabama Driver's License
Have and maintain a clean driving record
Equipment/Tools/Work Aids:
Hospital master keys, handcuffs, restraints, electronic incapacitation device (Taser), radio (walkie-talkie), camera, flashlight, jumper cables, “Slim Jim”, hospital vehicle
Specialized Skills:
Working knowledge of computers, cameras, and surveillance equipment.
Physical Requirements:
Must be physically able to detain, restrain when necessary for the protection of self or others.
Must be able to walk and stand for prolonged periods.
Must be able to do lifting.
