Position Title: Janitorial Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:
This position will report directly to the Assistant Director of Facilities and Operations and will provide technical knowledge and management for all janitorial services.
Responsible for planning, organizing, and oversight of all janitorial services, including floorcare at campus and remote facilities.
Management of janitorial services for entire campus including buildings, dorms, classrooms, athletic facilities and events.
Plans and schedules janitorial staffing for events and change over during semester breaks and summer break to ensure campus facilities and dorms are clean and ready for use by deadlines.
Manages contracts and vendors performing janitorial services when required.
Responsible to ensure campus is clean of trash around facilities and athletic areas.
Trains, supervises, and hires custodial staff to ensure staffing is efficient for all buildings and events and performed safely using proper PPE.
Ensures janitorial supplies, chemicals, and equipment are ordered timely and all inventory is maintained correctly and accounted for with documentation.
May be required to serve on an on-call status for emergencies.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of janitorial cleaning processes, proper chemical mixing and usage, and Material Safety Data Sheet.
Knowledge of floor care related to all surfaces and proper techniques to clean or polish them.
Knowledge of work tickets and how to prioritize work requests to ensure they are performed timely.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, time and attendance systems, and procurement of supplies and equipment.
Ability to develop and implement checklist for janitorial daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly tasks.
Supervisory skills, along with the ability to communicate tasks and directions to subordinates in a clear and concise manner related to job responsibilities.
The ability to perform audits on cleanliness of facilities and communicate with management and staff.
Ability to train employees and supervisors on janitorial procedures and processes.
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s License
Five (5) years’ of experience in commercial janitorial services.
Three (3) years’ of supervisory experience
