Position Title: Custodial Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the custodial services.
Schedule work and ensure work complies with specifications.
Monitor building services operations in compliance with local, state and federal codes and guidelines.
Hire, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff or assist with such processes.
Complete required paperwork, maintenance records/work orders.
Process leave requests.
Assist with determining technical training needs.
Assist and advise matters related to custodial services.
Assist supervisor with special projects.
Supervise the completion of special projects.
Fill in for supervisor as needed.
Deliver inventory and assess inventory needs in individual units.
Assist other physical plant departments/units as necessary.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of cleaning methods, custodial services, operations, and equipment Knowledge of inventory control techniques Knowledge of acceptable supervisory practices
Knowledge of acceptable custodial and maintenance practices
Skill in safety operating, maintaining, and repairing various types of custodial and cleaning equipment
Skill in planning, organizing and overseeing the work of subordinates
Skill in maintaining adequate supplies and inventory records
Skill in conducting inspections to determine compliance with standards
Ability to work weekends and evenings as deemed necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
Completion of sufficient education or training to read and write simple instruction
Three (3) years of experience in custodial services
Must be able to meet the University vehicle liability policy requirements and have a current driver’s license.
