Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Responsible for shift operations, to include safety, production, quality, and employee relations Develop, lead and train contract catchers and Company employees in proper catching methods Enforce company regulations, policies and practices, including GMP's Maximize efficiency in transportation and loading Ensure loading of birds, and delivery to plant in a timely manner, meeting welfare and safety standards Ensure proper staffing Inspect employees, processes and birds, ensuring compliance with USDA and Company standards Manage relationships with contract growers, catchers, drivers and lead men Minimize downtime, DOA and shed time Other relevant duties as assigned Job Requirements: High School diploma or equivalent 3+ years experience in DOT regulations 2+ years management experience CDL license preferred Proficient technology and computer skills with ability to generate Excel spreadsheets Excellent verbal and written communication skills Reliable, responsible and dependable Professional demeanor at all times, even in high stress situations Physical/Environmental Factors: Walk, stand and perform physical labor majority of shift Frequently stoop, kneel, crawl and bend Exposure to significant amount of airborne dust, chick down and feathers Exposure to chicken manure and associated odors, including ammonia Exposure to temperatures ranging from 60 to 105 degrees, and humidity up to 100% Exposure to seasonal weather conditions, to include inclement weather Benefits: Promotional Career Opportunities Health, Dental & Vision Insurance Voluntary Life & Disability Insurance 401k Savings Plan (after 1 year of employment) Paid Weekly Paid Time Off Employee Purchase Program Cobra Insurance Cost Reimbursement Benefits available after approximately 30 days of employment.
