At its core is a state-of-the-art, man-made whitewater channel, created to bring whitewater rafting, paddling, and outdoor activities, and entertainment to the city of Montgomery and the surrounding region.
The facility sits on 120 acres (about twice the area of a large shopping mall) and is designed for all users to enjoy outdoor activities and special events, and to share in a healthy, active lifestyle.
Job Summary ? Kitchen Manager The Kitchen Manager runs daily operations, maintains budgets, orders inventory, and executes catering events.
This is a profesisonal who knows the environment is what leaders shape it to be.

The day-to-day operations include coordinating the staff, maintaining labor goals, continuous training and development due to a changing menu.
The catering events are special to us.

These events are based on a catering menu, however, we also offer the option to customize for clients.
These catering events display food and sometimes other forms of décor artfully.
Our Kitchen Managera are also Event Coordinators when it comes to plating and arranging food artfully.
This position is key to our success and requires a highly organized, creative, detail oriented and motivated person to serve as the leader of our Kitchen.
This person's job entails the unique opportunity to collaborate with marketing team in the execution and planning of events, An overall understanding of the outdoor adventure and/or entertainment business is preferrable.
For those not already well aware of the outdoor recreational world, be ready to indoctrinated.
We use our food and dining experiences to pair with our live music and outdoor recreation adventures.

The position deals with a wide range of responsibilities that include: all routine daily operations, continuous training and development as the menu is changed, communicating catering event programs, timelines and tasks as necessary for catering event productions.

Job Duties and Essential Responsibilities: Create schedules Opening and Closing Procedures Leadership Development Inventory Management Team Member Development Written Weekly Team Updates for changes within the store Collaborate with Sales on catering events Execute catering events Execute catering coordination, stock, setup, break down, etc.
Quality Control Create and implement standard policies and procedures for Kitchen activities Utilizes digital productivity and collaboration tools used to coordinate the company Executing Catering Event Orders includes: Collecting catering event orders Setup the physical décor Plate the food artfully Bring out food and present is in a timely manner Organize and manage the registration and attendee check-in processes Additional relevant duties as needed Qualifications: 2+ years' experience in Restaurant Management 2+ years? experience coordinating large (100+ guests) events preferred Experience with scheduling, hiring, training, developing, discipline, and termination A good understanding of general practices, methods and procedures related to events management and Experience managing a P&L Able to work well under deadline pressure and multi-task Willing to work independently as well as collaboratively Willing to take direction and work in a dynamic environment that can be either fast-paced or slow-paced Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Proficient with email Able to communicate effectively in a professional manner with co-workers, employees, management, subordinates, vendors, and guests Teamwork mentality is an absolute must-have Physical Demands: Be able to work on-site in Montgomery, Alabama indoors for a portion of the time and outdoors leading events and work in the field Must be able to work an eight-hour shift, bend, squat, and lift 30 pounds Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as expected in a recreation/tourism-based event management position Benefits: 25% off merchandise 25% off food and beverage (no alcohol) Free access to activities, when capacity allows 35% off activities for immediate family (up to 4 at a time, employee must be present at time of purchase) Medical, Dental, Vision, free-to-you long term disability insurance, free-to-you life insurance, and additional insurances 3 weeks PTO Job Type: Full-Time.
