The League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU & Affiliates) is looking to hire a full-time Manager of Regulatory Advocacy to join the Advocacy team.

As the Manager of Regulatory Advocacy, you will monitor, evaluate, analyze, and track proposed state and federal rules and regulations.
You are responsible for reviewing and reporting on proposed regulation and legislation in collaboration with the Advocacy team.
You will gather and coordinate credit union input to formulate regulatory policy positions and respond to regulatory proposals.
You will develop and cultivate meaningful business relationships with state and federal regulators to ensure credit union issues and concerns are represented.
The Manager of Regulatory Advocacy provides information, assistance, and guidance to Compliance and Risk Management team members, credit union management, staff, and volunteers of affiliated credit unions in all facets of compliance issues concerning federal and state compliance regulations.
Maintaining files of legal opinions, rules, regulations, and other League resource materials is a key component to answering credit union operational questions.
As the Manager of Regulatory Advocacy, you will author comment letters to the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), Federal Reserve, U.
S.
Department of the Treasury, and other state and federal regulatory agencies for each relevant proposal.
Qualifications: (see full job description attached) Bachelor's degree in business administration, political science, public administration, or closely related field preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years of related experience, with a broad knowledge of regulatory advocacy, policy development, finance, credit union operations, and compliance issues.
Ability to work effectively in Microsoft Teams and Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Knowledge and understanding of history, development, and philosophy of the credit union movement.
As the Manager of Regulatory Advocacy, you can expect to work Monday through Friday, with occasional nights and weekend engagements.
You will travel occasionally, primarily within Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
You will travel by airline or car.
A valid driver's license is required.
