Salary Information
Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system.
The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade.
**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies and MCCP Board Rules & Regulations**
Nature of Work
The fundamental reason this position exists is to perform administrative and operational duties in overseeing the daily operations of the City’s public works departments.
The employee is responsible for all public works matters and serves as a liaison to other City departments, outside government agencies, and the community.
The work responsibilities are: oversees activities of the public works departments; conducts department wide duties; develops short and long range plans; receives and handles complaints and requests from the public; works on special projects, events, and programs; and supervises employees.
This position reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, civil engineering, public administration, or a related field and five (5) years of public works managerial experience to include civil engineering and policy and procedure administration.
NOTE: Qualifying education, training and experience that provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job will be considered.
