Job Description
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting the shift supervisor in areas of shipping, loading, receiving, warehouse storage, product rotation, inventory accuracy, productivity, quality, and safety.
What your day will look like:
Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow
Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency
Address complaints and resolve problems
Trace history of items to determine reasons for discrepancies between inventory and stock control records and recommend remedial actions to resolve discrepancies
Maintain positive employee morale
Advises employees on care and preservation of items received, stored, and shipped; implement methods and proper use of equipment in handling, storing, maintaining, and shipping stock
Operate efficiently to increase productivity while maintaining an excellent level of safety and quality in the workplace
Actively train and direct associates to get the most out of their skills and work toward continuous improvement
Assign duties and examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures
Performs appropriate duties as assigned by management
What you need to succeed:
Minimum age 18 years old
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
Ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
Ability to utilize all Company provided resources and technology
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 to 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to become certified in forklift, riding pallet jack, and motorized vehicles
Willingness to work weekends, holidays, or flexible schedule as required
Ability to work in a team environment, resolve conflicts, possess effective communication skills, i.
e.
verbal, reading and writing, as well as calculate figures and percentages
Frequent bending, kneeling, squatting, grasping, pushing, pulling, vehicle operation, exposure to noise, frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 50lbs.
Repeated standing, walking, typing, and keying
Ability to work safely and securely
Ability to plan and organize
Ability to demonstrate leadership skills
