Production Shift Manager (Night Shift)

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION Responsible for the coordination of the assigned production processes on Night Shift to ensure production targets are met timely and efficiently.
Will manage team members, materials, equipment and production process for a specific production area in the plant.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Position will act as one of the shift managers on night shift overseeing an area of the production operations.
Manages team members’ work performance and staffing in an assigned area/s.
Communicates and works to resolve issues and concerns related to production and team members’ performance.
Ensures measures are implemented to improve production methods, equipment, quality and efficiency.
Communicates expectations and accountabilities for performance helping team members see the link between individual performance and department/company achievement of its strategic plan.
Able to work 12-hour shifts.
Recognizes and rewards good performance and provides regular feedback to team members on performance expectations.
Leads team members in all safety practices and other requirements.
Reports all production data to appropriate groups as required.
Supports and ensures compliance with current quality and environmental systems.
