The Tri-County RSVP Director will be responsible for the coordination of all activities associated with the Retired Senior Volunteer Program for Houston, Henry and Geneva counties.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Ongoing recruitment of retired and/or senior (age 55+) volunteers and volunteer stations
Development of relevant training materials for program volunteers and volunteer stations;
Training for program volunteers and volunteer stations
Ensuring that volunteer stations are public or private non-profit organizations or an eligible proprietary healthcare agency capable of serving as a volunteer station for the placement of RSVP volunteers and maintaining current Memorandums of Understanding with volunteer stations
Developing and maintaining positive relationships with program volunteers and volunteer stations
Preparing quarterly reports
Documenting daily activities
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree and/or experience in a non-profit organization setting
Effective oral, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to work with people from a variety of backgrounds, particularly senior citizens (experience in professional senior services preferred)
Knowledgeable about human and social needs of the Pike County community
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Basic organizational skills
