AIDT & the Alabama STEM Council located at the Alabama Workforce Training Center (AWTC) in Central Alabama are seeking a full-time Communications Manager.

SYNOPSIS Create and manage a strategic and comprehensive marketing plan within the context of workforce development and STEM initiatives for the Alabama STEM Council.
Reports to the STEM Council Executive Director.
Work is performed with considerable initiative and decision-making authority.
In-state travel required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: STEM Communications Build excitement for STEM among students, parents, educators, business leaders, and other stakeholders.
Write and manage the state’s RFP process to recruit and select the vendor partners best qualified to execute the Council’s marketing plan.
Manage budgets, time allocation, and output for various external marketing specialists.
Collaborate with the STEM Operations team and vendor partners to evaluate and finalize work.
Support efforts in the seven workforce regions to expand the STEM Ecosystem.
Identify and prioritize marketing communications needs as they arise and fulfill approved requests through internal or external resources.
Write high quality press releases and council content pieces.
Develop website content, manage content update, evaluate site performance against GA4 standards, and assist with content updates in a standard CRM as needed.
Collect performance data on integrated, omni-channel marketing efforts and deliver means for continuous improvement.
Interact with the public and media as needed, energizing networks and STEM engagement.
Serve as liaison with AIDT Communications, maintaining a strong working relationship between the two divisions.
Other Project Management Accept and manage the development and implementation of special projects and other work-related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Coordinate with team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.
Meet with project team members to identify and resolve issues.
Submit project deliverables and ensure that they adhere to quality standards.
Prepare status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.
Establish effective project communication plans and ensure their execution.
Manage stakeholder satisfaction within the project transition period.
Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
Work Habits: Comply with all policies and procedures as set out in the AIDT Policy Manual.
Plan daily/weekly work schedule.
Maintain housekeeping to organizational standards.
Interact professionally with co-workers, general public, and others as required.
Comply with AIDT policy regarding in-person and virtual work performance.

Understanding of the power of STEM Required Minimum Qualifications: Minimum three years’ experience in appropriate area of specialization or Baccalaureate Degree from a duly accredited institution required; or two-year degree in area of specialization and two years industry or industrial training experience in area of specialization.
Salary and General: Initial placement will be based on experience and education applicable to the C3M salary schedule, within a range of $60,945- $87,533.
