Cultural Academic Student Exchange Program (CASE) is a non-profit organization facilitating 10 month academic/cultural homestays for August 2024 incoming high school exchange students.
Established in 1988, CASE is a designated sponsor of academic year J-1 exchange visitors through the US State Department.
To help us reach our goal of bringing CASE to Alabama, we're searching for a well-connected stay-at-home parent.
Teacher, or someone well respected in his/her community, to work with us in finding local American host families for our well-screened incoming students, and providing after arrival cultural support.
It is a truly fun and rewarding role that involves 3-5 hours weekly of community involvement.
Our host families are required to be volunteer, however the student provides his/her own personal spending money, full medical insurance, and is ready to become a participating member of their new American host family – pitching in on everything from family discussions to sharing household chores.
The student will attend the nearest public high school to the hosts, has his/her own spending money, and speaks English at a participatory level.
